Georgetown Real Estate

Head south on Highway 17 through Pawleys Island,  cross the bridges and you will find Georgetown. This historic seaport town was once called Little Charleston and you’ll find more than one person who refers to the location of the town as being 90 minutes north of Charleston as opposed to 60 minutes south of Myrtle Beach.  Georgetown is the 3rd oldest port city in the state and its colonial roots are still prevalent in the brick streets  and 200 hundred year old homes and churches in town. Take a drive out of town in any direction and you’ll still find a number of well-preserved antebellum plantations.  The historic district of Georgetown is located along the waterfront with distinctive shops, restaurants and marina facilities.
